Just checking out the Windows Live Writer Beta. It installed properly at the first try! It works just fine so far. Easy to use and intuitive. I like my first impression. Looking forward to more of it…
I’ll also use this opportunity to call out the latest beta version of the Windows Live Maps, aka Windows Live Local aka Virtual Earth. IT ROCKS! The rich client is a bit cumbersome to install, with a few too many prompts and confirmation dialog boxes to go thru, but boy is it worth it. I found places back in France that were breathtakingly beautiful in bird’s eye view, and the cityscapes available in 3D view are nothing short of amazing. If you haven’t seen it already, go get it now from http://local.live.com.
